Manufactured as an officially licensed product by GeminiJets as a limited edition, highly collectible model, this United Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 - Registration N27261 - painted in its Being United livery - has been meticulously recreated from Boeing's blueprints and features realistic landing gear and detailed graphics, assuring the utmost accuracy and superior quality. A Display Stand is included. During the early 1980s, several of Boeing's customers approached the manufacturer to develop a smaller airliner that would handle higher passenger loads than the 767-300 yet be smaller than the 747 aircraft. With the design finalized in 1989, the official launch customer, United Airlines placed an order for 34 777-200 aircraft (with an option for 34 additional aircraft) in October 1990. The first 777-200 entered service and took to the skies with United Airlines on May 17, 1995, forever changing passengers' perception of comfort and efficiency in air travel. Since then, the 777 has taken on a new role as the replacement aircraft for Boeing's now discontinued 747-100, -200 and -300 series aircraft.
