The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a mid-size, dual-aisle, twin-engine jet. It was designed to be a more fuel-efficient replacement for similar-sized commercial aircraft. The primary structure is constructed from 50% composite materials, including the fuselage and wings. Measuring 206 feet long by 56 feet high, with a 197-foot wingspan, it can reach a speed of 593mph and fly as high as 43,000 feet. In late 2025, American Airlines will begin flying the Premium 787-9 Dreamliner between New York City and London. It is the first time American Airlines has used a 787 aircraft on this route.
